CRYSTAL LAKE – As physicians around the country begin the slow migration from paper to electronic records, Centegra Health System is hoping that a new initiative will bring the future within reach today.

CHICAGO – Midwest Business Group on Health, a coalition of more than 100 private and public employers, conducted a national survey of physician views on employers’ health-management programs. The online survey was sent to more than 1,000 physicians nationwide by cooperating medical associations, health plans and medical centers. More than 200 physicians participated in the survey.

According to the state, 91 percent of Illinois employees are covered by the Illinois Workers’ Compensation and Occupational Diseases Act. And most of the time, the act does what it is designed to do: Provide a no-fault system of benefits to workers hurt on the job.
